Renewable plastic made of CO2 and non-edible plants

This new technology could provide an alternative option more auspicious for manufacturing products currently made from oil. A group of scientists from Stanford University, has found a way to manufacture plastic from carbon dioxide (CO2) and non-edible plant material dioxide, such as agricultural waste or grasses.
