COP 21: A great mobilization of world leaders for climate action in Paris

Label Paris 2015

COP 21 is officially opening in Paris and nearly 195 world leaders (among them are USA, China, Rusia, Brasil, México, etc…) are meeting today to discuss the most important agreement against climate change; the principal objective about these talks is the reduction of greenhouse emissions, also with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C.

The conference is expected to attract more than 50,000 participants including ministers, delegates from government, NGOs, activists, journalists and civil society; COP 21 is one of largest international conference ever in the country, this time France is the host and it will last around 2 weeks until December 11.

Added to this, there are many mobilizations in many countries such as Australia, Mexico, going by Europe, Asia and Africa, thousands of people demand measures about to prevent irreversible changes as droughts or rising level of the oceans which will inevitably occur if emissions of greenhouse continue rising.

To not exceed that limit, world leaders will close the cooperation agreement this December 2015 and it will begin working in 2020, to reduce greenhouse emissions and to end the dependence on fossil fuels.
